Dutch ISP XS4ALL (owned by KPN) has confirmed that it is planning to launch IPTV services this winter, enabled by its launch of VDSL2 connections a few days ago.
Around a quarter of its customers can now access higher speeds over the combination Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC) and VDSL2 service thanks to the launch on July 27th, and coverage of VDSL2 will eventually be expanded to 70%, according to the company.
KPN had reached 193,000 subscribers for its own IPTV service 'Interactieve TV' by the end of the second quarter of this year, adding 46,000 customers to the service in the three-month period.
