French firm Witbe has launched Witbe Lab, a test and measurement solution for the specific needs of multi-play operators and their equipment partners for testing and validating video, voice and data services.

The new solution allows multi-service test scenarios to be built and maintained, and test campaign reports to be automatically generated.  The solution includes a graphical user interface and software suite, dedicated to the conception and automatisation of integrated tests, including script recording, and a multi-tasking and multi-robots campaign manager tool to schedule tests across labs and robots.

The new solution tests and validates a number of critical features of a service, including video sources, encoding, channel zapping time, interactive services, retransmission or error correction, STB robustness, modem weakness and side-effects between multiplay usages.
