UK fim Red Bee Media, a specialist in media management solutions, has launched its first end-to-end portfolio of content discovery solutions for media, called RedDiscover.
The new solutions aim to provide broadcasters, platforms and content owners with a range of discovery solutions that help consumers to find content they might be interested in, both on live TV and on-demand, and guide them to new and related content, on every platform and screen.
Lifestyle media company Time Out has been named as one of the first customers for RedDiscover technologies, having appointed Red Bee Media to create and launch an online social TV guide called the 'Time Out TV Guide'.
The RedDiscover portfolio draws together a range of components, which can be delivered as standalone modules or as part of an integrated solution. These components are: rich metadata; search, recommendation and personalisation; EPG development and design; and companion applications.
The new content discovery solutions are also being integrated with the RedPlayer online video platform which Red Bee Media launched last August.
