iiNet secures Premier League content

Australian telco iiNet has signed deals to provide the two football club channels of Manchester United and Chelsea to its IPTV service 'FetchTV 2'.

The three-year deals involve the live broadcasting of games involving the two sides in the Barclays Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, the Carling Cup, the FA Cup, and hundreds of hours of additional content designed specifically for the clubs' fans.  The telco is also adding the Fox Sports News channel to its lineup.

“These world-class sports channels are fantastic additions to our FetchTV 2 package, which is already a market leader when it comes to value and quality,” said Greg Bader, CTO at iiNet.  “We expect sport fans will love what’s now on offer, especially considering these new channels are available at no additional charge.”
