Italian telco FastWeb is launching a new Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) broadband service which offers symmetrical speeds of 100 Mbps to over 2mn homes and businesses across the country.
The service is being launched on September 6th in Milan, Rome, Turin, Genoa, Bologna, Naples and Bari. There is a one-time activation cost of €100 associated with the service, and monthly charges of €15. The service will then be made available to all existing broadband subscribers from October, according to the company.
FastWeb has invested €5bn in its fibre-based network, which extends 31,000 km, and claims to have already connected 250,000 customers to its FTTH network.
