Deutsche Telekom has confirmed that it plans to broadcast its opening press conference at the annual IFA trade show in Berlin in 3D on its IPTV service 'T-Home Entertain'.

The press conference will be broadcast from the Deutsche Telekom stand from 9am on September 3rd, with all customers of the IPTV service with a VDSL connection able to view the live programme in 3D, provided they have a 3D-capable TV and the corresponding glasses.

Deutsche Telekom had 971,000 active subscribers to its German IPTV service 'T-Home Entertain' by the end of the first half of this year, up from 896,000 at the end of last March and 806,000 at the end of 2009.
