Egyptian real estate developer selects Anevia for IPTV deployment

Egyptian real estate developer Palm Hills Developments (PHD) has selected a high-definition full-IP headend from French firm Anevia for its deployment of IPTV services in a new real estate complex of over 1,000 villas, delivered over a Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) network.

Palm Hills Development has selected Anevia's ViaLive 220S for what it claims to be the first IPTV/VOD system to be deployed in a real estate development in Egypt.  Content is received by the Anevia headend, streamed to the IP FTTH network and decoded by set-top boxes or PCs within the customer's home.  Minerva Networks has provided the middleware for the project.

“PHD’s project was to develop a luxury real estate complex with the latest in entertainment services. When building the multimedia services network, we looked for a best-of-breed IPTV system that would enable us to provide a superior entertainment experience to our customers,” said Hisham Salah, Vice President of Technology at Palm Hills Developments.  “We chose Anevia for the IPTV/VOD headend because their solutions are based on advanced technologies that enable delivery of flexible, cost-effective yet innovative services.  We are very pleased with the results and with the contribution they make to the quality of the entertainment that we offer in our villas.”
