SeaChange increases recurring software revenues

SeaChange saw its recurring software revenues for fiscal 2010 reach 60%, describing this as a "significant milestone" and enabling the company to focus on an increased bottom line in fiscal 2011.

Total revenues from the company's Software segment for the fourth quarter of 2010 reached US$ 34.9mn, up 9% year-on-year.  The increase in Software segment revenues is described as being due mainly to increased VOD software subscription revenues from Comcast and Cox, and the inclusion of revenue during the period from the recently-acquired eventIS.

However, these gains were partially offset by lower advertising and broadcast software revenues, due to the impact of the challenging advertising market.

Total revenues across all operation for fiscal 2010 reached US$ 201.7mn, down slightly from US$ 201.8mn in the previous year, while GAAP net income for fiscal 2010 reached US$ 1.3mn, down from US$ 10mn in the previous year.
