Portugal Telecom has reached an agreement to carry 24-hour news channel TVI 24 on its pay-TV platform 'Meo' (delivered via IPTV, satellite and mobile) from September 1st.
"The main strategy of Portugal Telecom is precisely on differentiation, which is obtained with winning partnerships that raise know-how through technology and content, as is the case in this partnership with TVI," said Pedro Leitão, Board Member of Portugal Telecom. "We want and we will continue to work with the best content producers and with those that follow the pace at which we move in order to give more and better services to Meo customers."
Portugal Telecom had reached 702,000 customers for its pay-TV service 'Meo' by the end of the second quarter of this year, adding 57,000 subscribers in the three-month period.
