Latvian telco Lattelecom has become the largest provider of digital TV services in the country with a customer base of over 40,000 subscribers for its IPTV service 'Interactive TV', according to the company.
The service offers a number of features new to the Latvian television market, including high-definition content, video-on-demand, archived programmes and PVR capabilities. The telco also launched a new DTT service in the country last August.
Lattelecom has announced separately that it recently connected its 5,000th client to the new Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) network it has built in the country's capital city of Riga, which offers Internet speeds of up to 200 Mbps.
