France had reached 7.7mn subscribers to IPTV services by the end of the first half of this year, according to the latest figures from telecoms regulator ARCEP, with the country's IPTV operators collectively adding 2.5mn customers in the preceding 12 months.
Meanwhile, there were 19.4mn subscribers to Internet services in the country by the end of the first half of this year, with 18.7mn of those receiving broadband services - an increase of 12% year-on-year. The number of customers for ADSL services reached 17.6mn by the end of the period, with an increase of 1.7mn in the preceding 12 months.
Revenue from the provision of Internet services in the country reached €1.5bn for the second half of this year, up 8.9% year-on-year, according to ARCEP.
