Stockholm-headquartered Nordic telco TeliaSonera reached 477,000 IPTV subscribers across all markets by the end of 2008, having added 99,000 customers during the year.

The telco reached 324,000 IPTV subscribers in Sweden at year-end 2008, adding 20,000 during the 12 month period, with an estimated 70% of its Swedish IPTV subscribers being paid customers.  

Elsewhere, the telco's IPTV services in Lithuania and Estonia are reported to have continued performing well in 2008, with Lithuanian subsidiary TEO adding 49,000 subs last year to reach 67,000 by December 2008, while its Estonian subsidiary Elion finished 2008 with 75,000 IPTV customers.

TeliaSonera's total pay-TV subscriber base, including its cable TV operations in Denmark and Finland as well as its IPTV operations, reached 867,000 customers.
