World Leaders Gather at Latin America IPTV World Forum

Telecom Argentina, Pioneer Telephone Cooperative, Novis, Telefonica Peru and Telemar – are just some of the leading Latin America and US telcos that are set to speak as part of a world-class gathering of industry specialists at the IPTV World Forum Latin America (www.iptv-latinamerica.com) in Rio de Janeiro early next year.

The program will feature over 15 Telcos & ISPs discussing IPTV service deployment issues facing the region’s telecoms industry.

The event, at the Intercontinental Hotel, is part of the IPTV World Series (http://www.iptvworldseries.com/) and is organised by Junction Limited, a leading specialist in digital technology shows.

The conference has already attracted a number of high level speakers including; Helio Costa, The Minister for Communication in Brasil, Edmundo Poggio, General Manager of Technology Development from Telecom Argentina, Loyd Benson, the President of Pioneer Telephone Cooperative and Werner Schuler, the General Director of TV & Multimedia services from Telefonica.

Delegates will learn from executives who have been responsible for such activities in other parts of the world. The conference will consider important technical issues such as customer premise equipment, home networking and the design of backbone and access networks to ensure low cost-per-stream video delivery.
