TechnoConcepts Licenses ANT Fresco™ Browser for China Jinshilin Techno’s IPTV Set-Top Boxes

July 17, 2006 – TechnoConcepts has announced that it has licensed ANT Software Limited’s browser solution for use in the IPTV set-top box manufactured by its subsidiary, China Jinshlin Techno.

The first 100,000 units will be sold in China, Taiwan and Japan and will be shipped out by the end of this calendar year. It is anticipated that these new units will generate revenue in excess of US$15 million.

Asia has a rapidly expanding IPTV set-top box market, with industry analysts projecting sales of between 20million and 50million units in 2006, growing to 100million units by the end of 2007 in China alone.

ANT is a provider of software and solutions for IPTV, hybrid TV and digital home products. Their IPTV browser solution has been claimed by ANT to be one of the industry’s most reliable and robust embedded browsers, specifically developed for user interface and content rendering requirements of TVs, STBs, DVD players and other electronics and industrial appliances.
