HanseNet uses ANT Fresco TV browser with ADB in Germany

June 6th, 2006 - Telecom Italia subsidiary HanseNet has selected ANT's ANT Fresco TV browser technology for its hybrid DTT/IPTV deployment in Germany, branded 'Alice'. It is being integrated into Advanced Digital Broadcast's (ADB) ADB-3800TW high-definition ready MPEG-4 Part 10 (H.264/AVC) hybrid set-top box and ADB has licensed Fresco and Alcatel's OMC software from ANT for this purpose. The deal marks ADB's entry into the German market with ANT Fresco. ANT's TV browser is already a proven solution in Telecom Italia's Alice service in Italy.

Simon Woodward, president and CEO of ANT, says, "This hybrid DTT and IPTV deployment represents the next step for convergence of all forms of television delivery. We are delighted to be a part of this important IPTV roll-out in Germany. Our selection for this deployment demonstrates the market's confidence in ANT's complete IPTV set-top box solution."
