Amino’s latest set-top is “ready for HD home networking”June 5th, 2006 - IP set-top specialist Amino Communications has added the AmiNET131 to its range, which is said to be future-proofed for home networking. The receiver includes a full suite of connectors on the rear panel together with an LCD display and controls in the front panel for easy navigation. Amino says the styling is "sleek, in keeping with the design quality of other elements of a prestige home entertainment system", and thus suited for high-value deployments to tech-savvy consumers. Networking options will include coax, phoneline, powerline and wireless.
"We are increasingly seeing customers asking for a high-quality home entertainment system," comments Roy Kirsopp, VP and general manager, Amino Communications. "Discerning consumers want a high performance in-home entertainment system. This has encouraged service operators to request STBs with a greater range of connectors and the flexibility to integrate future technologies which will allow them to stay at the forefront of IPTV services." The AmiNET131 will begin volume shipping in Q3 2006. |
