Belgacom introduces local channels around Flanders

May 15th, 2006 - Belgacom has introduced six local channels to its television line-up for customers of its Belgacom TV service in Flanders. These are in addition to the 65 channels already available with the Classic+ package in this region. The telecoms operator says the other local channels will be added progressively over the next few weeks. The additional content is free.

The Flemish channels AVS, ROB TV, Focus TV, WTV TV, ATV and TV Limburg are now available. RTV Mechelen, RTV Kempen, Kanaal 3,
and Ring TV-Vilvoorde are still to come. Meanwhile, TVBrussel will be broadcast alongside TéléBruxelles in the Brussels Classic+ package, which already boasts 74 channels. Negotiations are also underway for the local Walloon channels, which will soon be added to the 56 channels already available on Belgacom TV’s Classic+ package in Wallonia.
