Jazztelia TV Offers More Than 30 Quality TV Channels for 1 Euro Per Month

15th of March, 2006 - Jazztel has launched throughout Spain its interactive television, Jazztelia TV, over ADSL 2+ with a promotion price of one euro per month until the 1st of July.

Jazztelia TV will expand its product portfolio during 2006 by offering additional TV channel packs, video-on-demand and other services.

Jazztelia TV will be available to every Jazztel broadband customer connected with ADSL 2+ technology with, at least 6 Mb of broadband capacity.Jazztel’s TV offers 30 channels, which will be expanded to the 22 digital terrestrial TV channels (DTTN) in the near future.

JAZZTELIA TV has signed agreements with Sogecable,Universal, Sony, Turner, Multicanal, Bloomberg and Viacom, among others in order to secure a quality offering to its customers.

TV channel selection includes contents for a broad range of audiences, organised in the following categories:

• News, with CNN, Bloomberg, TV5, Fox News, which cover a broad range of current events, social, economical and politics.

• Cinema and TV series, with channels like Calle 13, AXN, Fox, Cosmopolitan TV, Hollywood, TCM, Paramount Comedy… and well known series as Desperate Housewives, Sex in the City, CSI, Lost, Nip/Tuck, “La hora chanante”, New Comedians,…

• Entertainment, travel and cooking channels, with the best travel guides, recommendations and world cuisine.

• Documentaries, with the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, the History Channel… with the best documentaries on science, religion, history, biographies…

• Kids, with Cartoon Network, Jetix, Nickelodeon, Boomerang, with content for every age group, like Pokemon, the Puffy Girls, SpongeBob SquarePants, the Bratz, W.i.t.c.h., “Las tres mellizas”, Scooby Doo and the Flintstones, among others.

• Sports, with Sportmania, offering matches of the Spanish, British, Italian, Argentinean,… national leagues, UEFA matches, the NBA championship,…

• Music, with Sol Música, MTV, VH1 and up to 7 channels with the best national and international music.

In order to complete its content experience, Jazztel has also launched www.jazztelia.com which offers 5 different channels: cinema, music, games, blogs and television. The new portal allows its users to share its opinions, contents or chat about their favourite TV series in the blog and photoblog sections.

The TV section, tv.jazztelia.com is Jazztelia’s TV digital magazine, in which it is possible to browse through the TV schedule, print the favourite channel’s schedule, check the latestnews and the daily recommendations and obtain all the detailed information of the TV offering.

Jazztelia TV customers will enjoy for 1 euro a month the best quality channels. This
promotional price will be available until the June 30th, 2006. From thereon, the price will be 3 euros a month for the TV service (inicio tv) and 8.55 additional euros for the basic pack (básico tv). The set top box rental will be 6 euros a month, which means that for 17.55euros per month, Jazztel provides an affordable quality TV to everyone.

Jazztelia TV is an interactive TV offering, which allows users to check a channel’s schedule,and which will be expanded to conditional access control to classified content, pay-perview, taylor-made information and other content offerings.
