Oregan Expands its Footprint in the Japanese Consumer Electronics Segment

13th March 2006 - Networks, a provider of embedded software solutions, have announced that they will supply its Oregan Media Browser to a tier-one Japanese consumer electronics brand vendor.

Devices powered by Oregan's software will enable a new generation of network-connected products to support the emerging CEA-2014 standard and Macromedia® Flash® content.

Oregan expects a series of high volume products to be introduced throughout the course of the year, delivering high definition Telco TV and web based portal and video services to Japanese consumer homes.

'Japan is expected to have 23.4 million broadband subscribers by the end of March 2006. Its broadband economy has been one of the fastest growing and we are pleased to announce our success in establishing a significant presence in the Japanese telecoms and consumer electronics market, achieved through an effective local presence,' said Milya Timergaleyeva, Oregan’s VP of Marketing.
