Telenor Selects Alcatel as Supplier of Access Platform for "All IP" Network in the Nordics

March 14th, 2006 - Alcatel today announced that it has signed an agreement with Telenor, Norway's leading telecommunications service provider to supply Alcatel's next generation IP broadband services access platform, supporting Telenor's "All IP" network strategy.

The Alcatel solution will enable Telenor to offer its customers high bandwidth triple play services such as IPTV, video on demand, and HDTV and cost-effectively meet their strategic objectives.

The Alcatel solution is based on its market leading ISAM (Intelligent Services Access Manager) product family, including the Alcatel 7302 ISAM, the Alcatel 7330 ISAM FTTN, and the 7342 ISAM FTTU. The ISAM product family is the industry's first IP broadband services access platform, accommodating a wide range of access technologies and network topologies. The ISAM family is specifically designed to minimize the complexity and ensure profitability as service providers transform their broadband access networks to support full triple play service adoption.
