Amino selected by Galaxy for IPTV deployment in Hong Kong12th December 2005-Amino today announced that its consumer premises technology for IPTV services has been selected by Galaxy Satellite Broadcasting Ltd for its Hong Kong IPTV deployment.
The company ordered a significant volume of AmiNET110 set-top boxes and launched the SUPERSUN service to deliver up to 40 channels of broadcast programming and movies to subscribers in Hong Kong. SUPERSUN, operated by Galaxy Satellite Broadcasting Limited, is one of the prominent pay-TV programme service suppliers in Hong Kong with See Corporation Limited and Television Broadcasts Limited as its major shareholders. Galaxy is able to offer subscribers popular original and local contents including drama, music and general entertainment. This adds significant value to its service offering in comparison to those of its competitors.

The AmiNET110 features an Ethernet input and flexible audio/video output, together with Dolby Digital Output and an RF Modulator output to provide multicast and on-demand video control within a sleek and elegant package, based on the company's award-winning design. The product is also compatible with the ReadyLinks Smartfoot(tm) and Coaxsys home networking adapters allowing operators to avoid costly wiring of CAT5 cable throughout the home.
