Orange introduces Orange cinéma séries
October 8, 2008 - Orange has introduced its new premium television service Orange Cinéma Séries, which will be made available on all its platforms in France, including IPTV.
The premium service will consist of six channels of films and TV series, as well as offering on-demand programming delivered to the screen of the customer's choice (TV, PC or mobile), and is expected to be launched in France in the fourth quarter of this year. The service will also offer a service for downloading and transferring programmes onto portable devices, including mobile phones.
Orange Cinéma Séries will offer exclusive releases of all Warner Bros. films, such as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Ocean's 13, and new TV series from HBO such as True Blood, Generation Kill and John Adams. Customers will also have access to the back catalogues of Faumont, Warner Bros. and HBO (Six Feet Under, The Sopranos etc), and Orange has signed an agreement with Fidélité Films under which the latter will release all its new movies on Orange TV.
Orange recently revealed that it had passed 1.389mn subscribers for its IPTV service in France.
