UTStarcom ships IPTV set-top boxes with eZiText

August 21, 2008 - UTStarcom has started shipments of IPTV set-top boxes in China featuring predictive text input solution eZiText in English and Chinese, supplied by Zi Corporation.

The licensing agreement was signed last November and reportedly opens the door to other potential applications for Zi's input products within the UTStarcom family of products and solutions.  eZiText is a text input solution enabling faster and more efficient text entry through predictive entry and word completion, and also learns usage patterns and vocabulary.
