Dreampark to introduce new SVG-based middleware at IBC 08

August 18, 2008 - Swedish firm Dreampark will unveil its next-generation Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG)-based middleware at this year's IBC event, to be held in Amsterdam next month, as well as the latest release of its Dreamgallery IPTV middleware, featuring Picture This! Live MMS to the TV.

The new SVG-based middleware has been developed to optimise the response times and speed of IPTV services while providing advanced Graphical User Interface options and performance for high-definition graphics, and follows a commitment by the Swedish firm earlier in the year to the new SVG standard for its IPTV middleware.

The latest version of its Dreamgallery IPTV middleware has next-generation features including live MMS to the TV, mobile PVR, pre-paid, Dreamlets (small JavaScript objects pushed to one or several STBs using a multicast server) and RSS support. Enhanced network PVR end-user features include Start Over, Historic EPG, Scheduled Recordings, Record Current Event and Time Shifted TV.

All these features will be demonstrated over an IP infrastructure at the Dreampark stand (5.A21) at IBC 2008.
