Endemol-backed MoMedia signs content deals with international IPTV operators
July 30, 2008 - MoMedia International, a producer and distributor of digital entertainment with offices in London and Hong Kong and backed by Endemol, has signed content deals with a number of IPTV worldwide operators, including Fastweb (Italy), Invitel (Hungary), Deutsche Telekom (Germany) and ESDC Claxson (South America).
Fastweb has acquired 20 hours of music programming from artists including Zucchero, Gorillaz and Bon Jovi, as well as 40 episodes of hidden camera show TV ZeZe. Invitel also signed for 20 hours of music programming from artists including Bryan Adams, Cher, Simply Red and The Killers. Deutsche Telekom picked up a range of music programming which includes 65 music concerts form artists including Razorlight, the Kooks, Gorillaz, Manic Street Preachers, Later With Jools Holland shows and has relicensed the London Live series for a further two years.
ESDC Claxon, a South American media company that provides and distributes branded entertainment content to Spanish and Portuguese speakers around the world, has agreed to renew its IPTV broadband licence for Stupidvideos and CanalMicro's See & Enjoy series.
