Witbe debuts FullHD monitoring solution, announces launch customers
June 26, 2008 - French firm Witbe has launched its new FullHD monitoring solution, and revealed that its first customers include high-profile IPTV operators such as Hanaro Telecom (Korea), Orange (France), Telefonica (Spain), Chunghwa Telecom (Taiwan) and Sonaecom (Portugal).
The FullHD Witbe robot is designed to meet the needs of the growing market for high-definition services, and provides perceptual and network quality indicators including visual zapping time, non-reference MOS-type video and audio quality analysis, and MPEG Priority 1 and 2 metrics.
“Our close relation with our customers helped us to deliver one of the most advanced monitoring technologies in the world as an answer to the convergence challenge," said Jean Michel Planche, Chairman of Witbe. "It was possible thanks to the technological progress of the French operators for the past 4 years."
The new solution supports IPTV, cable, satellite and FTTH infrastructures, as well as MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 formats and Microsoft Mediaroom.
