Slovenia's T-2 to enter Croatia this autumn
June 26, 2008 - Slovenian triple-play operator T-2 is planning to enter the Croatian market this autumn, according to reports in local daily Croatia Today, and may launch an IPTV service in the country.
Local reports suggest that the company has invested HRK1.4mn (US$304,000) in preparing to launch its trade activities in the country, which already has a consumer awareness of IPTV through local telco T-HT's MAXtv service.
In it's native Slovenia, T-2 offers IPTV and digital telephony services, including 130 channels and a video on demand library of over 700 titles, some of which are in high-definition. The telco employs both VDSL technology and fibre-to-the-home (FTTH), with up to 60 Mbps download speeds possible via VDSL and a standard 1Gbps connection over the FTTH network.
