Exterity licenses ANT Galio Browser for HD IPTV receivers

June 26, 2008 - Scottish firm Exterity has licensed the ANT Galio Browser from ANT Software for use in its high-definition IPTV receivers, designed for a variety of environments including the hospitality industry.

ANT Galio Browser offers an open-standards web browser engine optimised for user interfaces and portal services, enabling control of next-generation TV applications and allowing operators, set-top box manufacturers and content developers to deliver advanced user experiences.

“By selecting the ANT Galio Browser for our HD IPTV receivers, we can allow users to develop and display more intuitive, engaging and responsive user interfaces and interactive content," said Colin Farquhar, CEO of Exterity.  "ANT Galio enhances the user experience and enables dynamic content, ranging from local device set-up menus to complex remote services such as Electronic Programming Guides (EPGs) and Video on Demand (VoD) interfaces. ANT Galio represents the ideal component to complete our already comprehensive IPTV receiver range.”
