On Telecoms adds new services to ON TV
June 6, 2008 - Greek telco On Telecoms has presented new services and premium content for its "ON TV" IPTV service at an event staged in Aigli (Zappion).
Subscribers to ON TV are now to receive coverage of the Olympic Games, to be held in Beijing this summer, with full-day live broadcasts across 12 dedicated channels; a new interactive movies channel called On Multiplex; and pay-TV packages comprised of thematic channels such as Discovery (Discovery World, Discovery Science, Discovery Travel and Living), National Geographic (NatGeo Wild, NatGeo Music), On Sports (ESPN Classic, NASN, EXTREME Sports, Sailing Channel) and a-la-carte channels including Baby TV and adult channel DORCEL TV.
New features to be added are On TV Games, offering eight casual games with more to be added in the future; and On Rec, a catch up service allowing users to watch any programme shown over the previous three days. ON TV currently has a reported 100,000 subscribers and costs €15 per month for the basic package, offering free-to-air channels and a video on demand service with a library of over 1,200 titles.
