SeaChange introduces entry-level solutions for small cable and IPTV operators
June 4, 2008 - SeaChange International, a US provider of hardware and software solutions for video on demand, has launched entry-level solutions aimed at small cable and IPTV operators which will allow them to swiftly introduce video on demand services and establish advertising revenues.
The new video on demand and advertising solutions, called VOD Now and Spot Now respectively, are aimed at cable and IPTV operators with less than 20,000 subscribers and startup advertising operations. VOD Now is based on SeaChange's Axiom On Demand open content delivery platform, automating video on demand processes from content propagation to subscriber and stream management, performance reporting and monitoring. Spot Now is an automated solution for reliable advertising insertion, and supports up to 48 insertable standard-definition channels or 16 high-definition channels. For operators which grow beyond 48 channels, the company also offers a programme to migrate customers to a traditional SeaChange Spot linear ad insertion system.

SeaChange has also partnered with TVN Entertainment's VOD Complete service for small market systems, combining a SeaChange video on demand solution with the VOD Complete service, which offers a programming selection from TVN's library of 8,000 hours of standard- and high-definition content, marketing and reporting services.
