KT to introduce interactive shopping service for MegaTV
June 3, 2008 - Korean telco KT is to introduce an interactive shopping service for its "MegaTV" IPTV service in the third quarter of this year
Users will be able to make orders and payments via their remote control, as well as track the delivery of orders and post product reviews. The telco has signed agreements with a number of home shopping networks in order to offer the service, including Lotte, CJ, Hyundai and GS Home Shopping.
KT has reported that it reached 567,230 subscribers for MegaTV by the end of the first quarter of this year, and expects to reach 1.5mn by the end of 2008.
