Tiscali TV launches new search tool

June 2, 2008 - Tiscali UK has launched a new search tool for subscribers of its "Tiscali TV" IPTV service, allowing users to locate on-demand content, catch up and broadcast programming from within its content library.

searchentrygolf.jpgSubscribers to Tisali TV can perform searches across a specific channel or all channels, as well as specify broadcast only, on-demand only, catch up TV or all of three; searches can also be performed for programmes by title as well as by credits, including cast members and subject matter. Once the user has made a search, they can set reminders, book recordings, add to favourites or navigate straight to the programme if it is showing.

"The consumer and content are at the heart of everything we do, with this new search tool representing a continuation of our efforts to innovate and make the viewing experience for Tiscali TV sbscribers as simple, easy and fun as possible," said Simon Hunt, Director of Television for Tiscali.

Tiscali TV is available to 10mn homes in the UK nationwide, and offers over 80 broadcast channels as well as catch up and on-demand services. The company reported 36,000 UK subscribers to Tiscali TV as of the end of last year.
