BT adds 94,000 IPTV subscribers in Q1
May 15, 2008 - BT has announced in its first quarter results that it added 94,000 subscribers to its “BT Vision” IPTV service during the period, bringing the total to 214,000.
The telco also revealed that out of the total net additions during the period, the subscription attachment rate at point of sale averaged 68%, while the average number of views across all subscribers averaged 29 views per month.
BT also added 150,000 customers for its broadband services during the first three months of this year, and now has a customer base of 4.4mn. Total revenues for the first quarter of this year reached £5.422bn, an increase of 2% year-on-year, while operating profit before taxation and specific items rose 7% by the same comparison to reach £814mn.
