Free adds Canal+ catch-up service

May 14, 2008 - French ISP Free has added the catch-up TV service of Canal+ to its IPTV offering, providing subscribers with a selection of drama, documentaries and magazines for viewing up to a month after broadcast.

The service, called Canal+ à la demande, will be offered free to subscribers of Canal+ Le Bouquet, and provides a catalogue of 130 titles that is expected to be increased to 200 shortly.

The Canal+ à la demande service was launched on March 11 of this year as a PC download service, and the agreement with Free marks the first time that it has been added to a pay-TV service.
