Polish incumbent TPSA adds 9,000 IPTV subscribers in Q1

May 2, 2008 – Polish incumbent telco TPSA has reported in its first quarter results that it added 9,000 subscribers to its IPTV service during the period to reach a total of 49,000.

The company also reached 405,000 Livebox subscribers and a total of 2,079,000 retail broadband subscribers.  Total revenues for the period increased 2% year-on-year to reach PLN 4.527 (US$ 2.03bn), while net profits rose 31.5% by the same comparison to reach PLN 681mn.

“The results of the first quarter mean a very promising start to the year,” said Maciej Witucki, CEO for TPSA.  “But we reiterate our full-year guidance, as we still have three quarters and some regulatory cuts in fees ahead of us.”
