Deutsche Telekom’s Interactive TV Award enters second roundApril 30, 2008 – Deutsche Telekom’s Interactive TV Award, an innovation award aimed at individuals and SMEs in the German and international developer community, has now entered the second round, with ten entries going through.
The Interactive TV Award team received 105 applications from 13 countries, and each of the ten candidates entering the second round will receive €50,000 in prize money and the opportunity to develop their prototype ideas in the next round together with Deutsche Telekom. In the second round the ten candidates will present their prototypes to a jury, with the jury then selecting three finalists, each of whom will receive €100,000 in prize money. Each of the three finalists will then develop their applications on Deutsche Telekom’s “T-Home” IPTV platform before presenting them again to the jury. The subsequent winner will receive €200,000, with the potential for Deutsche Telekom to integrate the winning application onto their IPTV platform.
