Motorola presents new Netopia 7000 Series VDSL2 gateways

April 24, 2008 – Motorola has launched its new Netopia 7000 Series VDSL2 gateways, designed to deliver high-speed data and IPTV services over VDSL2 networks.

The new gateways are available in three different configurations in order to support a variety of network configurations, based on chipsets from Broadcom, Conexant and Ikanos Communications.  The Netopia 7000 series are also equipped with 3-D Reach Extreme Wi-Fi technology.

“The new 7000 Series gateways are designed to meet consumers’ insatiable appetite for more bandwidth,” said Alan Lefkof, Corporate Vice President of Motorola’s Broadband Solutions Group.  “Our advanced routing software and quality of service (QoS) techniques, in addition to our end-to-end management capabilities, provide the service assurance our customers need to deploy advanced services such as IPTV and optimise their networks with confidence.”
