April 24, 2008 – Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB) has announced that it has been selected by US independent telco SureWest Communications to supply high-definition ADB-5810WX set-top boxes (STBs) for the telco’s IPTV service.
SureWest operates a fibre to the home (FTTH) network in the northern California region, and its IPTV service offers 50 high-definition channels, while its data service offers symmetrical Internet speeds of up to 50 Mbps. The unit can also provide access to value-added IP services such as video on demand and video conferencing. Product shipments have already commenced.
