AT&T adds 148,000 new U-verse subscribers in Q1

April 23, 2008 – AT&T has stated that it added 148,000 new subscribers to its U-verse service in the first quarter of this year, bringing the total to 379,000.

The company reported consolidated revenues of US$ 30.7bn for the first three months of this year, up 6.1% compared to the same period of last year, and a net profit of US$ 3.5bn for the period, up 21.5% year-on-year.

AT&T also reported that it added 491,000 broadband subscribers in the first quarter of this year, reaching 14.6mn.  The company says that it is on course to reach over 1mn subscribers to U-verse by the end of this year.
