AccessKey IP signs US$ 1.5mn IPTV development contract with CSI Digital
April 22, 2008 – AccessKey IP, a US developer of entertainment and communication services, has signed a Joint Development Contract worth US$ 1.5mn with CSI Digital, a US provider of wholesale end-to-end solutions for service providers.
The agreement will engage AccessKey IP to provide IPTV-related development services for CSI Digital and its customers. The contract is described as being in phases, whereby AccessKey IP will develop a series of set-top boxes in conjunction with CSI Digital’s marketing and sales efforts. CSI Digital reportedly intends to leverage AccessKey IP’s proprietary technology for the IPTV field, including customer-specific functionality.
"Working with CSI Digital represents a momentous change in our strategy and repositions AccessKey IP in the marketplace,” said George Stevens, Chairman of AccessKey IP. “We maintain our focus as an OEM manufacturer of set-top boxes while aligning ourselves with the preeminent IPTV aggregator in the country. CSI has successfully deployed in all market verticals and provides coverage across the US and its territories and we are excited to be able to work with them in each of their markets.”
The development and design phase of the project is already in process and is expected to be completed during the next quarter.
