Hanaro Telecom scales network capacity with Juniper Networks T-series core routers
April 22, 2008 – Korean telco Hanaro Telecom has scaled its network capacity with Juniper Networks T-series core routers, following traffic growth driven by increased subscriber demand for IPTV and other multiplay services.
All T-series routers leverage JUNOS, a single source operating system designed to enable consistent operation, network scale without disruption and high levels of interoperability and service agility.
“We are leveraging the rich feature set of JUNOS and the high performance of the T640 chassis to address growing traffic demand,” said Bongki Kang of Hanaro’s Backbone Network team. “The T-series router’s inherent reliability, and ability to scale seamlessly, gives us the confidence that we will meet our customers’ increasing demand for innovative new services.”
Juniper Networks reports that it has shipped over 4,000 platforms from the T-series range to over 200 customers worldwide.
