Tilgin selected for IPTV launch in southern Europe
April 21, 2008 – Swedish firm Tilgin has announced that it has received an initial order from one of its global partners to assist in their delivery of an end-to-end IPTV solution to a “leading tier one” operator in southern Europe.
Tilgin will provide its new Mood 400 HDTV set-top box solution, with the initial order for 1,700 units intended for the operator’s soft launch in September of this year. The order is the result of a previously announced global cooperation agreement with the systems integrator for inclusion of Tilgin products within the end-to-end offering.
“We are happy to be part of launching IPTV for this tier one southern European operator,” said Ola Berglund, CEO of Tilgin. “We look forward to helping the operator grow their IPTV offering to something much more than just a television service, integrating communications and multi-device media sharing into their expanded portfolio of compelling new multimedia services.”
