ATEME and Anystream partner on H.264 workflow
April 17, 2008 – French compression solutions provider ATEME and US firm Anystream have announced a partnership that will enable customers to combine the Anystream Media Lifecycle platform with ATEME’s Kyrion File Encoder for the creation and distribution of H.264 content.
Anystream’s Media Lifecycle platform enables content providers to produce, manage and monetise media for on-demand syndication, and streamlines the creation and format conversion of content required to rapidly repurpose video for the Web, VoD, mobile, IPTV and other platforms. Kyrion File Encoder 2.0 is a complete solution for MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 content production, and includes software components for pre-processing, video encoding, audio encoding and multiplexing.
“In order to meet the growing demands for new HDTV, mobile and online media formats, content distributors are increasingly looking to H.264 file-based systems as a way to simultaneously adapt content to multiple devices,” said Sylvain Riviere, Executive Vice President of Marketing at ATEME. “Anystream customers are now able to use ATEME H.264 encoders to maintain high quality video standards and interoperability across their distribution network while minimising bandwidth usage.”
