ZyXEL selects Dreampark middleware for new IP set-top box

April 16, 2008 – Swedish middleware firm Dreampark has announced that Taiwanese firm ZyXEL Communications has selected Dreampark’s Dreamgallery middleware for integration into the ZyXEL STB-1003 IP set-top box.

Integration of Dreamgallery into the STB-1003 set-top box is reported to deliver the ability to download new applications for the set-top box “on the fly”, as well as graphics rendering for customised graphical user interfaces, a feature portfolio enabling VoD, picture-in-graphics, email, electronic programme guides, personal channel lists, as well as administration features such as automatic customer provisioning, EPG data and VoD metadata import and video file distribution.
