Telefonia Bonairiano selects Kasenna middleware & servers for IPTV service
April 16, 2008 – Kasenna has announced that Telefonia Bonairiano (Telbo), the Dutch Caribbean’s telecoms company, has selected Kasenna LivingRoom middleware and Mediabase servers for its new IPTV service, called “mitv”.
Telbo is using Kasenna’s LivingRoom middleware and MediaBase video servers to deliver 40 basic and premium channels, including HBO, Discovery and Fox, Dutch Public Channels(Nederland 1, 2 and 3) and international, sports, action and premium movie-oriented packages. Films and other content will be delivered via VoD as well as pay per view.
“Kasenna’s middleware and video servers allow us to rapidly deploy a custom-branded video service that excites our subscribers and is a key component of our triple-play service,” said Edsel Winklaar, Managing Director of Telbo. “We believe that this IPTV deployment will serve as a model for our partners in other countries.”
The new service is expected to be a model for Telbo partner telecom companies that serve an additional 24 countries.
