Procera Networks selects Shenick to test DPI solutions
April 2, 2008 – Shenick Network Systems has announced that Procera Networks has selected its diversifEye10G solution to test Procera’s PacketLogic deep packet inspection (DPI) products, designed for traffic control, service creation and network protection.
Using Shenick’s diversifEye10G, Procera intends to validate product performance and secure accuracy of new signatures for peer-to-peer (P2P), IPTV, VoIP and Web applications. Procera will also use diversifEye10G to replicate customer sites for acceptance and integration testing.
“With over one third of Internet application traffic coming from P2P related applications that can adversely affect profit-generating, sensitive applications such as VoIP, IPTV and video on demand, Procera is addressing a key pain point by offering service providers the ability to track down and control quality of service (QoS), quality of experience (QoE) and bandwidth on a per-flow basis," said Robert Winters, CMO for Shenick. "Shenick’s diversifEye10G provides the only test system to measure and guarantee this level of granular flow.”
