BT appoints Simon Milner as Director of Media and Convergence Policy
March 31, 2008 - With effect from this April, Simon Milner will become BT’s new Director of Media and Convergence Policy, in recognition of the company’s need to "enhance policy leadership" in this area due to greater involvment.
Mr. Milner will report to Emma Gilthorpe, Group Director of Industry, Policy and Regulation, who commented: “BT is a key player across the converging communications markets and we need to be at the forefront of policy debates. Whilst customers are increasingly seeking a more converged proposition the regulatory and competition models continue to be largely sector specific - we must ensure the existing framework doesn't create barriers to entry."
