Deutsche Telekom reveals details of new features for T-Home Entertain

March 7, 2008 – Deutsche Telekom revealed details earlier this week of new features to be introduced for its T-Home Entertain service, as well as the availability of a more affordable service package for end users.

Subscribers to T-Home Entertain will soon be able to access photos and music from a PC via their connected TV in the home, and will also be able to record TV shows from a PC via the Web.  The T-Home Entertain service is based upon the Microsoft Mediaroom platform.

“Deutsche Telekom’s planned rollout of personal media sharing demonstrates how TV is becoming more connected to our lives,” said Elena Branet, Senior Marketing Manager, EMEA, Microsoft’s Connected TV business. “Our research shows that a substantial number of German consumers are ready and willing to pay for interactive capabilities ranging from recommendations to commerce to converged communications.”
