du selects TANDBERG iPlex headend for expansion of IPTV service
March 5, 2008 – TANDBERG Television has announced that its iPlex UltraCompression IPTV video processing and transcoding system has been selected by Dubai-based telco du to expand its IPTV service
The TANDBERG iPlex includes MPEG-2 standard-definition encoding, MPEG-4 AVC high-definition and standard-definition encoding, MPEG-2 to MPEG-4 transcoding, MPEG-2 transrating and picture-in-picture generation.

du’s IPTV service offers over 15 Premium TV packages, in 18 languages from content aggregators and providers worldwide, and has already passed 1.5mn subscribers.
