Ixia inaugurates city-scale proof-of-concept lab

February 27, 2008 – Ixia has inaugurated “iSimCity”, a proof-of-concept lab that enables customers to conduct city-scale testing to assure Quality of Experience in converged multi-play networks.

The facility, based in Santa Clara, California, enables customers to access thousands of test ports and aggregate traffic in the range of 10-100 Gbps, emulate hundreds of thousands of subscribers and generate millions of routes with thousands of routing peers.  Customers can also conduct system testing by emulating dozens of infrastructure servers, including load balancers, denial of service defenders, switches, routers, video servers, SIP proxies and DNS and DHCP servers.
